Quality Control Trainer & Supervisor
Louisville, KY- Work with site operations management in the implementation of Quality Assurance process and procedures as defined in DCL’s Quality Manual and in support departmental QA requirements for distribution, production, receiving, inventory control, client services, and purchasing.
- Ensure proper personnel workload planning to perform all departmental QA requirements, as well as, special Customer QA requirements defined by controlled work instructions.
- Responsible for supervision, appraising performance, and training & development of QA staff.
- Review and report potential quality problems, assist in formulating implementable solutions, and measure the effectiveness of implementation actions.
- Review Customer-driven technical requirements and recommend solutions to meet Customer expectations and/or changes in departmental procedures.
- Responsible for assisting Sales or Client Services in preparing work instructions and/or pictorials for assembly or production projects.
- Responsible for QA checks on Work Order and/or CRT prepared by Client Services, including posting work instructions, BOM check, label spec, and Work Order/CRT release. Determine acceptance, rejection, or rework requirements. Ensure inspection procedures are adequate for finished product to meet DCL and Customer quality requirements.
- Responsible for QA checks on distribution shipping processes including the creation of retail routing summaries for specific Customer Trade Partner orders.
- Monitor and administer site CAPA application and promote timely response and quick closure of incident and customer complaints.
- Support QA group in the performance of ISO 9001:2015 conformance checks.
- Adhere to and continually enforce all DCL and departmental quality and safety policies.
- Ability to move up to 25 pounds, or use appropriate warehouse equipment to move material goods.
- Ability to stand and/or sit for long periods of time, have good hand-eye coordination, and good manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment where the temperature is affected by weather conditions.
- Minimum 3-years QC inspection or QA auditor experience with in-depth knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standard, preferably in a 3PL or fulfillment environment.
- Minimum 3-year supervisory experience, with excellent oral & written communications.
- PC and database experience, with excellent math and analytical skills.
- JD Edwards (One World) experiences a plus.
- Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- ISO Internal Auditor certification 9001, desired.
- Minimum 3 - years of training experience.
